Ingredients

Bottlegourd grated
250 gms
Milk
1 cup
Khoya ( Mava) -
1/2 cup
Sugar 
5 tablespoons
Clarified Butter -
3 tablespoons
Cardamom powder/essence -
1/4 teaspoon
Rose water - (optional)
1 teaspoon
CashewNuts - (optional)
7 numbers
Raisin - (optional)
1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of clarified butter on sim and fry cashew nuts and raisins and keep aside.
  2. Add the bottle gourd to the same pan and sauté on medium flame for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the hot milk and keep stirring till it starts to boil.
  4. Add sugar at this stage and stir until all the sugar has melted.
  5. Add khoya/mava and cook until a thickened mixture forms.
  6. At this stage add the cardamom essence/powder and rose water and stir well.
  7. Throw in the rest of the clarified butter and fried dry fruits ( Step1)
  8. Cook until all the moisture evaporates and forms a soft lump.
  9. Serve hot
